Progress!

We spent the weekend painting, painting, painting.

T and I spent 3 hours Friday night and another 2 Saturday morning doing nothing but prep--pulling nails, sanding and cleaning walls, pulling out miscellaneous switches and other nonsense.

T, Meg and Lauren worked upstairs:

I worked downstairs on the bordello room,

with occasional help from T:

Yesterday, the new floors got started

New house!

We got the keys to our new house on Wednesday, February 21!


As you can see, it's going to need a small amount of attention before we move in, like repainting the bordello room:


And reflooring the master bedroom:


And doing a little demolition to get the fridge into this nook in the corner of the kitchen (which we now know is possible thanks to T's super accurate chest-arm measurement system):



There are some long-term projects as well, like remodelling the kitchen:


And the dining room:


And not least of all, once again ridding ourselves of the fading pink bathroom:


So why did we let ourselves in for all this work? How about waking up to these views every morning!
